The Knoxville City Council will meet in regular session today. The meeting will begin with the Knoxville Leadership Academy recognition and graduation. The council will then hold two public hearing regarding the potential rezoning of a property located at 305. N. McKinley as well as 710 W. Main St. Following both public hearings the council will give first consideration while possibly waiving second and third consideration regarding the rezoning of the properties. The council will discuss and take possible action regarding the use of funds from the Auld Park Trust. The funds would be used to help match funds from the Knoxville Optimist Club in which the club would like to add more play equipment to Auld Park. The club would pay for $7,000 worth of new equipment with the city potential adding $8,000 from the Auld Park Trust. The meeting will begin at 6:15 pm and will be held inside the Municipal Building Council Chambers
