The Pleasantville Trojans will head up to Des Moines Christian tonight for a double header of hoops. The night will start off with the girls, who have struggled lately losing 8 straight games. The boys, however, are coming off a win against Earlham and have a 6-5 record. The last time they faced off the Trojans lost 60-41. Trojans Head Coach Jeff Cook says their focus will be on slowing down the Des Moines Christian point guard.
“We’ve just got to try to stop they’re point guard she hurt us bad the first time she put 33 on us and so we’ve gotta slow her down now and they’ve got other kids that can pick up that slack but we can’t allow the one girl to hurt us as bad as she did.”
The No. 8 ranked in Class 3A Des Moines Christian girls are at the top of the West Central Conference with a 13-1 record, they also defeated Pleasantville earlier in the season 69-50.
You can hear all the action on the KNIA3 stream with coverage for the girls game beginning at 6:00pm and the boys following.
