Usually the Memorial Day Weekend marks the end of high school for graduating seniors in area districts — but the celebrations have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on gatherings.

The Pella Community School District is holding graduation on Friday, June 19th at 6 p.m., and current plans are for a traditional ceremony, unless guidelines from the state prevent it from doing so, which if they are, it will be a drive in with live speeches in the parking lot and an individual diploma ceremony.

Graduation for the class of 2020 at Pella Christian will now be held Saturday, June 20, at 10 AM in the PC Football Stadium on Eagle Lane. In case of inclement weather, it will take place at 7 PM.

PCM Schools have scheduled graduation for June 28th and prom for June 19th — a decision to delay those again or keep them as planned will be held by June 5th.
