Postseason softball begins today as the 2020 summer season begins to wind down across the state of Iowa.

Class 1A and 2A teams will begin the regional playoffs, and locally, Pella Christian travels to Pleasantville in Region 4, with the winner advancing to Interstate 35 Wednesday. Coverage begins at 6:45 this evening on 92.1 KRLS.

No. 12 in Class 2A Twin Cedars has been afforded a first round bye and will await the winner of Diagonal and Mormon Trail on Wednesday. Melcher-Dallas is in action today as they host Murray. All postseason softball games begin at 7 p.m.

Class 3A starts on Wednesday, while Class 4A and 5A get underway on Thursday. Pella travels to Knoxville later this week in the Class 4A Regional playoffs, while Indianola has been afforded a bye due to the cancellation of Dowling Catholic’s season and won’t play until the regional final on July 21st. PCM starts this Wednesday at Nevada.
