Our number eight moment of the 2019/2020 school year at Knoxville goes back to this fall on the gridiron. It was not so much a moment, but a season full of great moments that made the 2019 Knoxville Football season. The Panthers started off 4-0 for the first time since 1990. The Panthers beat Fairfield 16-9, Saydel 56-0, Centerville 24-10, and a come-from-behind 31-21 decision over Chariton

More on that Chariton game later in our countdown. There were many contributors to the Panther resurgence in 2019. Carter Bailey led the Panthers in rushing with 925 yards, Mike Hudson was the leading receiver with 273 yards, Ben Olson was the leading tackler on defense with 75.5, plus Keegan Cox had a record setting eight
interceptions, more on Cox and Bailey’s seasons also later in the countdown. The Panthers would end up with a 6-3 record, the best overall record since 2005.
