One area that Knoxville Volleyball was wanting to make progress in this past season was its performance in Saturday meets. The Panthers have been competitive but never won a meet. While the goal of winning a title this season did not get achieved, Coach Mollie Keitges tells KRLS Sports the first Saturday meet they went to at Bondurant-Farrar showed her and the team that they can compete with ranked and schools that are bigger than Knoxville.

Keitges:
“That to me was the day that I thought we were pretty good. As a coach you always think your team is pretty good against yourself, you play a few games. But when you beat some tough team this team can compete.”

That day the Panthers started off losing to Cedar Rapids Kennedy, then reeled off wins over Atlantic, Nevada, Winterset, and the host Bluejays in two sets to none sweeps.
