When the Knoxville Football Squad reconvenes in 2021, the Panthers will have a young roster. The coaching staff was forced to play several sophomores and at times freshmen this season due to injury and lower than expected numbers. Coach Eric Kellar tells KRLS Sports while the players got a little more experience than they thought, there will still be some open spots left by graduating seniors and the coaches will be looking at everyone.

Kellar:
“They know that. They know going in if you want to be a DB, there’s about 8 of them now. We’re going to bmovign some guys around in different positions and things may look a little different offensively, but it’s going to be wide open for some spots.”

Knoxville finished 1-7 this season. The Panthers will need to fill several skill positions most notably receiver and quarterback will have new faces with the graduation of record setting receiver Mike Hudson and quarterback Kieren Nichols.
