indianola-3

After losing their top two scorers to graduation for the second straight season, the Indianola boys basketball team will have to reinvent itself once again with role-players taking on bigger scoring roles. Senior Caden Rehmeier and sophomore Drew Kingery were starters who played a majority of varsity minutes last year, scoring 12.5 and 8.3 points per game respectively, will have to try and replace the 20+ ppg from Aj Toigo and Tyce Johnson for the fast-paced Indians style. Head coach Brett Watson tells KNIA Sports the Indians will have some matchup problems with their forwards coming back.

“It is nice for us because both those kids have a skillset that makes them effective both inside and outside, and its going to be kind of fun to see how the other groups come together with the experienced guys on the perimeter and the other guys who don’t have as much experience.”
The Indians season gets started on Monday, November 30th at North Polk.
