The Pella boys track and field team enters Championship Saturday with a slight lead over conference rival Dallas Center-Grimes as they seek back-to-back team titles today at Drake Stadium.

Standings:
1. Pella 39.5
2. Dallas Center Grimes 36
3. Washington 32
4. Newton 26
5. Western Dubuque Epworth 23
6. Charles City 18
7. LeMars 15
8. North Polk & Dubuque Wahlert 14

The Dutch will have several chances to maintain their lead, while the Mustangs will lean on 3200-champion Aidan Ramsey in the two distance races and their 4×400 and sprint medley relays to try and catch up; Pella will be head-to-head with DCG in all of those events, and also have the top Shuttle Hurdle Relay and two entries in the 110 Meter Hurdles to try and pull away.

All four classes come together for the first time since 2019 to crown team and race champions. Tune into updates from Drake Stadium on KNIA/KRLS from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
