Several Indianola fall sports are in action today, as everyone but the Indians football squad will hit the links, court, pool, or course.

The boys golf squad travels to Fort Dodge for a 20-team tournament that includes teams from across the state. Tee-off from the Fort Dodge Country Club starts at 10am.

Both the boys and girls cross country teams head to Little Hawkeye Conference opponent Dallas Center-Grimes for a meet, the girls looking to keep up their strong start after a good finish in Ankeny last week, while the boys are getting their season started. Head coach Kevin Barnes said his team is young, and he is relying on his seniors and upperclassmen to help guide the younger guys on how to compete at the varsity level. Running starts at 4:30pm for the girls and 5:15 for the boys.

The Indians girls swimming team hosts their first home meet of the season, welcoming the Bluejays of Perry to the Indianola YMCA. The Indians are in just their second meet of the season after having matched up with Southeast Polk last week. The squad hits the pool at 5:30pm.

And the Indianola volleyball team puts their unblemished 8-0 record on the line tonight as they begin Little Hawkeye Conference action, hosting the Eagles of Pella Christian at 7:15pm. Full results of all Indianola fall sports action can be found in today’s local sports.
