A group promoting the sport of soccer is celebrating the completion of a new feature at Lincoln Elementary in Pella. A new mini-pitch will be celebrated Wednesday at 4 p.m. by Kick if Forward and several partner organizations. The group describes a mini-pitch as a small, futsal-style soccer field designed, engineered, and created by Musco Lighting to provide safer places to play the game of soccer by transforming abandoned courts or other underutilized areas into places where children and families can come together.
