The Pella boys basketball team seemed to take out frustration from Friday’s loss to Pella Christian against PCM in the first quarter of a non-conference tilt heard live on the KRLS2 stream Monday night, with a 75-33 victory.
A three-point barrage gave Pella a 31-4 lead in the first eight minutes, with the Dutch hitting their first seven from beyond-the-arc — and doing so without top player Luke Hardman, who was out with an injury suffered against the Eagles last week. Four Pella players finished in double figures scoring, including Luke Keitges (17), Brayden Traetow (11), Trey Van Hauen (11), and Romon Hugan (10).
The Mustangs were paced by eight points from Mark Bussan and seven from Kaleb DeVries.
Pella improves to 6-3 overall and clashes with #5 in 4A Indianola, who is undefeated. Hear that game on the KRLS2 stream and 94.3 KNIA. PCM, now 3-9, next host Earlham on Thursday.
