Tim Agan, a 1977 graduate of Knoxville High School was recently rewarded for his job as an attorney working in the state of Arizona.

Tim is the son of Fred and Sandy Agan. The award he earned was the Tom Karas Indigent Defense Award from the Arizona Attorney’s Office for Criminal Justice. Indigent defense is criminal defense services for those who can’t afford to pay for their own lawyer.

Agan, who has lived in Arizona since 1987, tells KNIA/KRLS News, “The award is given to the person or organization that has demonstrated a commitment to indigent defense and a variety of important components of indigence defense are confidence, advocacy and professionalism.”

Tom Karas was a famous criminal defense attorney in Phoenix.

Tim and his wife Theresa Craig have one daughter.
