A busy week for spring and summer athletes in the green and white rolls on today, as the girls soccer team attempts to get to the state finals, while the baseball and softball squads stay at home for conference action.

The Pella girls soccer team has a rematch with Waverly-Shell Rock in the Class 2A state semifinals. The Dutch and Go-Hawks were tied 0-0 in their regular season match after two overtimes, with the #1 ranked Waverly-Shell Rock girls ultimately winning a penalty kick showdown in April. Today’s match begins at 12:30 p.m., with pregame starting at noon on 92.1 KRLS.

Closer to home, the Little Hawkeye Conference season keeps the boys and girls of summer at home; the Pella softball team will host #5 Indianola, while the baseball team welcomes the Indians for a single varsity game. Hear softball on 92.1 KRLS and baseball on 94.3 KNIA, with pregame starting for both at approximately 7 p.m.
