Multiple Indianola High School winter sports teams were all in action Saturday.

The boys wrestling team placed 2nd at the Jack Mendenhall Invitational in Ames, scoring 187 team points. Mac Crosson placed 1st at 113lbs and Jaxon Boyd placed 2nd at heavyweight, while third place finishers included Rylan Hilton at 126lbs, Jake Pontier at 150lbs, and Carson Slorah at 215lbs. Indianola next wrestles Thursday.

The Indianola girls wrestling team went 0-3 in a duals matchup at Carlisle, losing to the host Wildcats 60-21, Williamsburg 48-15, and Norwalk 33-24. Siera Becker went 3-0 on the day at 100lbs, while Summer Wolff went 2-0 at 135lbs. Indianola next wrestles in the Bob Sharp Invitational at Ankeny on Friday.

The Indianola boys basketball team fell to Johnston 83-36 Saturday in a non-conference matchup, while the girls fell to the Dragons 73-35. Andrew DeWall had 11 points leading the way for the boys, Asher Brueck had 8. Dana Blake led the girls squad with 11 points, while Zoey Belt scored 9. The girls are now 2-9, the boys are 0–8, and both teams next play Tuesday at Pella.

The Indianola boys swimming team finished in third at Des Moines East, scoring 167 team points. The team next hits the pool Tuesday back at Des Moines East.
