The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The meeting started with a public comment by Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman regarding an EMS Association letter of request to remove Board Chair Mark Raymie from the EMS advisory committee. The board will respond in two weeks. In new business, the board approved disposition of part of the VA campus to the City of Knoxville, which the city plans to use for senior housing in the future. Also at the meeting was a public hearing and approval of plans for the Marion County Conservation Cabins at Roberts Creek Park, discussion and approval for a mental health advocate position, and awarding of a contract to Norris Asphalt for the Highway G28 resurfacing project.
