The Iowa State Patrol Special Operations Group will be conducting training exercises in town this week. They will be at a property owned by the City of Knoxville, located at 314 W. Robinson Street on Thursday.

With the training there will be an increase in activity and vehicles on the property, and the City of Knoxville wants to make the public aware of the training and that there are no safety concerns to the general public while the training is being conducted. After March 7th , the City hired Cushman Excavation to demolish the house and garage on the property. Once demolition is completed, the property ownership will be transferred to Habitat for Humanity of Marion County, Inc. as they’ve purchased the lot contingent upon demolition.
