The total amount raised in the 2024 Panthers vs. Cancer Fundraiser in Knoxville was $26,729.

Panthers vs. Cancer is an annual fundraiser that helps raise funds to support cancer care in the Knoxville community. The event was held in conjunction with Knoxville’s varsity basketball games on January 22nd. The Panthers vs. Cancer auction raises funds to help those in the community that are navigating a cancer diagnosis, ensuring that they have access to the best care in Knoxville.

Panther vs. Cancer organizer Matt Ritchardt says he is thankful for everyone who supported, whether it was financially or through volunteer hours. Matt says he is also appreciative of his wife Megan who puts in countless hours to make this event possible, and for all she does to make Panthers vs. Cancer an annual success.

To have something like this in Knoxville is amazing. It’s one of those things we’re really known for. I can’t thank the community enough for all of the support they do. Whether it’s the Panthers vs. Cancer or the cancer relay, it’s just really truly a special thing.”

Funds raised from the auction are donated directly to the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Foundation, which supports the production and furnishing of the new Don and Margaret Long Infusion Center.
