Indianola High School is holding their Prom this Saturday at Adventureland’s Palace Theatre, with the theme of “Enchanted Forest.”

After the dance, the Post Prom event “Bright Lights Big City” will be held at the Blake Fieldhouse and will run from 11pm to 2am. This event is free for all Indianola High School seniors, juniors and their guests, but they must be registered to attend.

Indianola Police Chief Brian Sher tells KNIA News there are obvious things to talk about as it relates to the annual tradition, but most important of all is to communicate and have a plan in place.

“Obviously you have to know and discuss the school code of conduct before the prom with your child. Make sure they have those rules down pat, so there aren’t going to be any issues. Also know who your child is going to be attending the prom with and their friend group, and discuss both pre and post prom activities with other parents in that group. Get more parents involved, so you all know what your kids are doing.”
