Mother Nature has thrown another wrench into the weekend plans at the Knoxville Raceway. With heavy rain predicted for the remainder of the day, the World of Outlaw and the Knoxville Raceway has decided to cancel Friday night’s action. Saturday is still on as scheduled. The Outlaws have had one of their most competitive starts to a season in recent memory with ten different drivers winning the 15 total events. Points Leader David Gravel and Sheldon Haudenschild both lead that category with three wins. Gravel’s point lead is just 34 over Donny Schatz and the top five are separated by a total of 68 points. While the Outlaws will get plenty of spotlight, weekly competitors Brian Brown, who won an outlaw show last June at Knoxville, plus Austin McCarl and Aaron Reutzel will have something to say. Saturday’s scheduled will be a normal start and KNIA will be at the Knoxville Raceway tonight with live coverage starting with Live Track Side at 5:00 and Race Nights Live at 7:00.
