Knoxville RAGBRAI will host a special town hall meeting at the end of the month.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29th, at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center, and will include updates on the planning progress for the upcoming Knoxville RAGBRAI overnight stay, on Wednesday, July 24th. Members of the Knoxville RAGBRAI Executive Committee will lead the discussion, covering various topics including the downtown concert area, camping arrangements, housing options, shuttle services, volunteer opportunities, traffic management, parking areas, full route details, and vendors.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the Executive Committee during the question and answer segment, providing a platform to address any questions or concerns related to the event. Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Nathan Sage says the RAGBRAI executive committee has worked hard to get to the point of being able to hold a town hall meeting.

“RAGBRAI themselves recommend that most of the overnight stay towns have a few town hall meetings throughout the process. We have met in different aspects with our volunteers already, we’ve met with representatives from the county already, but we’ve been waiting to have these town hall meetings because we want to go to this meeting the experts and having our ducks in a row. It’s just this process you have to go through to check off the box to make sure you are where you are supposed to be as a community.”

All interested individuals, including residents, business owners, and volunteers, are encouraged to attend and participate. Hear more from Sage on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
