A Knoxville woman has been arrested for a felony drug charge after allegedly making a return at Dollar Tree with methamphetamine included in the bag.

According to court records, on September 24th, 2024 the Knoxville Police Department was called to Dollar Tree for a report of a female identified as Amy Bonnett that allegedly made a return and inside the bag was a white crystalline substance identified as methamphetamine. Upon making contact with Bonnett, she admitted that the methamphetamine was hers and that there was more in her car and purse. Officers located methamphetamine inside her vehicle. A search warrant was obtained for her apartment, where more drug related items were located. Law Enforcement located a total approximate gross weight of 31.7 grams of methamphetamine. Also located in the residence were scales and baggies that are used for distribution of illegal narcotics. Upon a post Miranda interview, Bonnett admitted to selling methamphetamine.

Bonnett is charged with a Class B Felony Drug Trafficking charge along with possession of marijuana after the search also yielded discovering 9.2 grams of marijuana at Bonnett’s residence.
