The Pella Christian basketball teams begin their final week of regular season action tonight, hosting Dallas Center-Grimes in a Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader.

The Eagle girls are looking to bounce back from their 45-36 loss to Pella Friday night, while also trying to build momentum ahead of their first regional postseason game on Saturday. The Class 4A #6 Mustangs are coming off a 24-point win over Indianola last Friday, which gave them a 3-2 mark in their last five games. The Pella Christian and DCG girls last played on January 14th, with the Mustangs winning that matchup 65-27 against a short-handed Eagles squad. After their 72-44 loss to Pella Friday, the Pella Christian boys will attempt to get back to their winning ways, after going 3-2 in their last five games over the last two weeks. The DCG boys are riding a five game winning streak into tonight’s contest, which included conference victories over Indianola, Norwalk, Oskaloosa, and Newton over the last two weeks. In their first meeting last month, the Mustangs held off the Eagles for a 56-43 victory, which improved their winning streak in the series to four-games.

Tonight’s doubleheader can be heard live on the KRLS2 stream and viewed live on the Pella Christian YouTube channel, beginning with pregame coverage at 5:45 pm.
