A rich tradition of excellence continued as Pella and Pella Christian speech teams received All-State recognition as part of the Iowa High School Speech Association State Large Group contest Saturday.

The following entries earned the highest possible honor in high school speech:

Group Mime – The Prince and the Pauper – performing
TV News – TTNN (Toga Talk Nightly News) – performing
Group Improv – Williams/Richards – non-performing
Musical Theatre – Spongebob Squarepants – non-performing
Reader’s Theatre – The Distracted Scholar’s Guide to Literature and Drama – non-performing

Pella Christian
One Act – The Other Room – performing
Musical Theatre – Newsies – performing
Musical Theatre – The Little Mermaid – non-performing
