Looking to reach the District Championship game for the ninth time in the last ten years, the Pella Christian boys basketball team travels to Davis County for a Class 2A District 10 Semifinal matchup tonight.

The Eagles cruised to a 61-36 victory in their postseason opener against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Monday night, while the Mustangs had a first-round bye. Davis County last took the court for a game a week ago, falling 56-37 against Central Lee. Tonight’s meeting between Pella Christian and the Mustangs will be the first in over a decade, but their third matchup in the series overall. The last time the two teams squared off with one another was on February 14th, 2013, with the Eagles improving to 3-0 overall in the series with a 69-35 win. Davis County has been led on the season by the senior duo of Hayden Utt and Carter Will. Utt leads the Mustangs with 14.9 points and 12.9 rebounds a game, while Will averages 14.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per contest.
