A Knoxville man has been arrested for probation violations stemming from previous felony theft and burglary charges.

Twenty-one-year-old August Cawley of Knoxville was arrested on warrants for these violations. Cawley was arrested in June for an incident where he broke into Knoxville High School on June 2nd and stole a camera and an electric wheelchair. Cawley was later arrested in December for an incident in April in which he stole a vehicle, and then arrested for another vehicle theft which occurred in September. Cawley pleaded guilty to Second Degree Theft and two charges of Third Degree Burglary on November 14th. A warrant was requested for Cawley’s arrest on February 26th after allegedly violating his probation from being kicked out of his court ordered sober living house. 

Cawley is now being held in the Marion County jail on the probation violation and additional charges of First Degree Theft and Third Degree Burglary.
