The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in a special and regular session on Tuesday.

The special session was a public hearing for the FY26 proposed county property tax levy in which there was just one oral comment. In the regular session the board approved a site plan for a new facility for Animal Health Center in Knoxville, approved the preliminary plat for Sunset Acres in Pella which will be a 36 lot housing subdivision, and approved a lease agreement for the Iowa Department of Corrections to use space located at 3014 E Main St. in Knoxville. 

The meeting concluded with board discussion regarding establishing a task force to fill the County Economic Development Director position after current director Carla Eysink retires at the end of April, and setting a public hearing for the FY26 budget for April 22nd.
