The Indianola School Board approved the FY26 budget at their meeting Monday evening, setting a property tax levy of $17.70059 per $1,000 of valuation, a slight decrease from last year. District Business Official Chad Vink tells KNIA putting together the budget this year was a challenge, but there are many positive things happening in the district including the high school project and the new baseball/softball fields improvement project.

“It’s a very exciting time to be a part of Indianola schools, but still very challenging. Making sure that we retain our tax rate and maintain our other buildings, it’s both exciting and challenging at the same time.”
