A local realty company that’s been in Grinnell since 2018 now has an office in Newton. Penny Gable is co-owner of TurnKey Realty in Grinnell with Joyce Halblom. They hosted a ribbon cutting Thursday, with the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce, at their new office on the east side of Newton’s square. Gable says the office at 104 First Street North is the result of the cooperative working environment they have with realtors in Newton, and their belief that there’s a lot to encourage people to live in the community.

“I think Newton has done an excellent job of trying to bring this community back from the Maytag era, and really have people come and settle down here. I think they have done a fine job of that, and we want to be part of that. And Newton has a really active market, so we are excited about that.”
