An Indianola man was injured after being involved in a high speed pursuit in Mahaska County Tuesday. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 52-year-old Laverne Brackett was driving a 2001 Chevy S10 pickup truck being pursued by law enforcement westbound on Highway 92, and lost control going into the eastbound lane striking a Dodge Durango. Brackett was transported via Mercy Air to MercyOne hospital. No other injuries were reported. More information about the pursuit and possible charges will be released as they become available.
