Wrapping up their busy week, the Pella Christian boys golf team will make the trip across Lake Red Rock Saturday to compete in the six-team Knoxville Invitational.
Prior to Tulip Time, the Eagles competed at the PCM Invitational on Monday and the Oskaloosa Invite on Tuesday, winning both meets by nine strokes over the field. At Gateway Recreation Golf Course in Monroe, Pella Christian placed five golfers inside the top ten of the 54-player field, led by Eliot Menninga who claimed the meet medalist honors with a 69. The following day at Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa, the Eagles had three individual top ten finishes in the 90-player field, with Deacon Branderhorst leading the squad to their second meet title of the week with a second place finish.
The Knoxville Invitational at Pine Knolls Golf Club Saturday is slated to tee off at 9 am.
