The Des Moines Area Community College campus in Newton has 152 students receiving awards this spring. DMACC Communications Specialist Savannah Eadens says the awards consist of degrees, certificates, and diplomas. She adds that 59 Newton DMACC students participated in last night’s graduation ceremony at Wells Fargo Arena, and were addressed by retiring DMACC President Rob Denson. The Boone and Carroll DMACC campuses will host commencement ceremonies tomorrow. 

DMACC is awarding just over 5,000 degrees, diplomas and certificates to more than 3,800 graduates across the college’s six campuses. That’s 422 more than last year.
