The Pleasantville boys and girls track and field teams will compete at home on Monday.

This is the first and only home meet of the season for the Trojans. The Pleasantville boys and girls last competed in their conference meet on Tuesday hosted by Des Moines Christian where the boys finished fifth and the girls finished ninth. Monday’s meet will feature nine total teams. Boys coach Tyler Baethke hopes the community can come out to support the athletes.

“We have a handful of seniors that will be running here for the last time and some upperclassmen that sometimes don’t always get the credit they deserve. They deserve the support of the community to see how well they’ve run.”

Monday’s meet at Pleasantville High School starts at 4:30 pm.
