While she did not automatically qualify for the State Track and Field Meet…Melcher-Dallas sprinter Trista Hansaker…again broke her own school records in the 100 with a new mark of :12.43 and the 200 at :26.72, both finishing in 2nd place. According to Coach Amy Stuart those times likely put her in a great chance to qualify as an at large. Meanwhile, The Twin Cedars Boys Track and Field Squad finished 13th at the Class 1A State Qualifier at Lynnville-Sully. There were no automatic qualifiers but Joangel Ibarra placed fourth in the 3200 with a time of 11:21.46. The State Track and Field Meet is next week at Drake Stadium.
