
The Norwalk boys soccer team was defeated 6-0 at Des Moines Roosevelt in Thursday’s final regular season game. The Class 4A 2nd-ranked Roughriders led 2-0 at halftime and added four goals in the second half, improving to 15-1-1 overall.
Tavin Ferner and Teegan Kralik attempted the only shots on goal for the Class 3A 3rd-ranked Warriors, who fell to 8-7-2. Goalie Jacoby Robbins tallied 10 saves on the night.
Norwalk will now have nearly two weeks off before opening Class 3A Substate play on Tuesday, May 27. The Warriors will host Carlisle or Oskaloosa in a Substate 5 semifinal at 7:00 p.m.
