The Newton girls golf team wrapped up their season Wednesday by placing sixth in their Class 4A Regional at Willow Creek Golf Course in West Des Moines. The Cardinal golfers score was 380, while Ames won the regional with a 312.

Johana Cerna tied for eighth with an 84 to lead Newton. Evie Main shot a 94 and placed 23rd. Addie Ratcliff was right behind in 24th with a 97. The remaining Cardinal golfers were in 33rd, 34th, and 35th place. Addison Hook had a 105, while Kalleigh Berndt and Eva Pak both shot 108.

Main, Hook, Berndt, and Pak are all seniors and have played their last rounds for Newton.
