With Memorial Day on Monday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reminds all who plan to enjoy the holiday by camping around Lake Red Rock to be safe while at their campgrounds. Park Ranger Tracy Spry reminds campers to be considerate of those around them and to the campgrounds.

“We do have a designated fire ring there and we ask that people keep the fire within the fire ring, as it is meant to keep things safe for our children as well as also to keep our resources safe. When people bring dogs out to the lake, we do ask them to keep them on a leash of about six feet in length. We do have people who will often inquire about these electronic transmitters that they can keep their dog under control, but we do ask that it be a physical leash.”
