A new company and initiative called “The Knox Collective” is bringing a welcoming perspective to the Knoxville community.
The Knox Collective is a new welcoming initiative to town in which new residents will receive a Knoxville starter kit which includes Knoxville “swag”, business coupons, and helpful information about the community. Sundance Realty realtors Sara Roberts and Hannah Vander Veer helped get the Knox Collective off the ground and wanted to create this as an opportunity to welcome the newest residents to town and make that initial connection with them.
Local businesses can partner with the Knox Collective through sponsorships to make these welcome baskets happen and they will then be delivered to new residents. The company will connect with local listing agencies and employers in town to be able to connect with new residents. To qualify for a basket you have to live within 15 miles of Knoxville and have moved here in the last two years. Vander Veer tells KNIA/KRLS that this is a time in Knoxville where so much progress is happening and this is a perfect opportunity to connect with those people coming to town.
“We’ve been on this momentum train for 5-10 years and we are seeing that growth in the VA District. Those lots are almost sold out so we have a bunch of new homes that are in the process of being built or will be built in the future. We know that people are coming so once they get here let;s introduce them and let’s keep them here, that’s really the goal. Let’s get in front of them so they know a familiar face, at least one or two right away and then we can help them connect to their bigger web.”
These baskets will first start getting delivered in June. If you would like to partner with the Knox Collective by being a sponsor you can connect with them on social media. Hear more from Vander Veer and Roberts on Monday’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
