Both Melcher-Dallas Summer Sports Squads lost to Murray on Thursday as baseball fell 3-0 and softball lost 8-4. In the baseball game, Melcher-Dallas got plenty of baserunners but could never get any of them home. The Saints cost themselves defensively with four errors. Hudson Cox led the Saints at the plate with two hits. Leo Schrader took the loss, going the distance striking out five and walking just one. The softball squad let an early lead slip away and fell 8-4. The Saints cost themselves with nine errors in the field. Lotty Nolte took the loss allowing eight hits and one strikeout. Both Melcher-Dallas squads will take on Moravia tonight.
