
The Pleasantville baseball and softball teams swept Panorama at home Thursday night in their respective West Central Conference varsity doubleheaders.
The Pleasantville baseball team took game one from the Panthers 10-0. Brayden Kennedy got the win on the mound going five innings while only giving up one hit and recording eight strikeouts. Logan Roff had a big game at the plate going 3-3 with a double, home run and 4 RBI while Brody Adreon went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI. Noah Rist also had a home run in game one.
In game two, the Trojans picked up another lopsided victory winning 11-0. Caylor Jones and Easton Cox threw a combined no-hitter as Jones recorded seven strikeouts in three innings and Cox had five strikeouts in two innings. In game two Cox, and Brayden Kennedy both went 2-3 at the plate as Cox had two doubles and three RBI while Kennedy had a double. Bryalon Bingham went 1-1 with a home run in game two. The Pleasantville baseball team improves to 5-0 on the season.
The Trojan softball team won a close game one over the Panthers 5-4. In game one, Kally Wysong, Ella Clark, Taylor Perkins, Lainey Kennedy, and Lillian Mason all had a two hit game. Kennedy pitched the first five innings while Wysong pitched the last two.
In game two, the Trojans picked up the 13-7 win. Wysong started on the mound and then Kennedy came in to finish the game. In the second game Wysong, Clark, and Perkins had two hit games. The Trojan softball team improves to 2-1 on the season. The Pleasantville baseball and softball teams will be back in action on Monday at Van Meter.
