The Twin Cedars Softball Squad went oh-and-two against larger schools at the Oskaloosa Classic on Saturday. The Sabers lost to Centerville 12-5 and Newton 12-2. In the Centerville game the Redettes scored six runs in the top of the 1st inning, but the Sabers would add three runs in the bottom of the 2nd with a double by Jayden Weldon and a two RBI single by Cristen Durian. Jordyn Greatbach also had a two RBI double. Khloe French took the loss. Against the Cardinals, Twin Cedars struck first in the top of the 1st inning, but Newton responded with four runs and never trail again. Amy Mockenhaupt was 2/2 with an RBI and Khloe French went 2/3. Mockenhaupt took the loss. Twin Cedars will play Moravia on Tuesday.
