The Knoxville Softball Squad got its first win of the season as the Panthers downed Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont 10-6 on Wednesday. Knoxville overcame issuing 16 walks, due to the Rockets committing six errors and only getting one hit the entire game. Addy Dunkin, Marlea Cox, one was a homer, Macy Cox, and Ralei Danner all got two hits. Knoxville scored in every inning but the 3rd. 8th grader Mia Durham got her 1st win of her varsity career going the distance allowing just one hit and striking out eight. Knoxville will host Chariton tonight. The Knoxville Baseball Squad is playing Chariton tonight as well, but on the road. The Panthers originally had this double header at home, but it was switched to a single varsity game due to many of the players returning from State Golf. Chariton already has a win in the series and is unbeaten at 9-0 in the South Central Conference. Knoxville is currently 5-2 in the conference and are alone in 3rd place.
