
The Pleasantville baseball team won both games against West Central Valley Thursday night as the softball team split at home in West Central Conference doubleheaders.
The #2 ranked Trojan baseball team won game one 9-0. In game one Easton Cox got the win on the mound going seven innings just giving up two hits and recorded 13 strikeouts. Offensively Braylon Bingham and JJ Phillips both went 2-4 at the plate as Phillips recorded a triple and two RBI. In game two Pleasantville won 13-1 in five innings. Luke Vestal got the win on the mound pitching all five innings allowing just four hits and recorded eight strikeouts. Offensively in game two, Bingham went 1-3 with a home run and three RBI, Logan Roff went 2-3 with two doubles, and Brody Adreon went 2-3. The Trojan baseball team improves to 14-0 overall and will travel to Urbandale tonight.
The Trojan softball team won game one against the Wildcats 4-0. Lainey Kennedy pitched a seven inning gem just giving up three hits and had one strikeout. Offensively in game one Kally Wysong and Ella Clark both had two hit games as Harper McGraw had a home run and three RBI. In game two Pleasantville fell to West Central Valley 15-6. The Trojans had 12 hits as a team from eight different players with Clara Metcalf recording three hits. The Trojan softball team moves to 8-5 on the season and will be back in action on Monday at Des Moines Christian.
