The PCM softball team defeated Saydel Thursday night as the baseball team came up short at home in Heart of Iowa Conference doubleheaders.

The #4 ranked Mustang softball team defeated the Eagles 8-0 in five innings. Camden Webb pitched five innings just giving up two hits while recording 11 strikeouts. Webb also went 1-2 at the plate with a double while Tori Lindsay went 1-1 with 2 hit by pitch, a home run, three RBI, and three stolen bases. Also in the contest Addison Steenhoek went 2-3 with a run, home run, and RBI, Kyra Naeve went 2-2 with a double and two runs, and Addi Hudnut went 1-1 with a run, double, and three RBI. The PCM softball team improves to 11-1 overall. 

The Mustang baseball team fell in their contest 2-0. PCM gave up the two runs in the first inning and it was a pitchers dual the rest of the way. Coby DeRaad, Trigg Steenhoek, Jaden Houser, Trenner Van Dyke and Jensson Hood all had hits in the game with Van Dykle recording a double. On the mound, Kaleb DeVries pitched six innings giving up two hits, two runs, and had seven strikeouts. Houser pitched the last inning recording one strikeout. The PCM baseball team falls to 3-7 overall.

The PCM baseball and softball teams will take on Saydel again tonight, this time on the road.
