The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday. The council approved the appointment of Clint Hagedorn and Jess Tom to the Veteran’s Memorial Building Commission, and accepted settlements from ABC Smoke and the Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh for violations of Iowa Code regarding tobacco sales to those younger than 21.

The council also discussed Vision 2030 which reviewed different options for city hall and the emergency department offices, gave direction to fill the Community and Economic Development Director position, partnership with Service Line Warranties of America business, and tabled an agenda item regarding policy statements to establish an official position of the City of Indianola regarding lobbying to the legislature, before going into closed session to discuss litigation.
