The Norwalk softball team takes on the top-ranked squad in Class 3A today when the 4A third-ranked Warriors host Dubuque Wahlert. The varsity doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

Norwalk enters the day with a 29-5 overall record and is seeking the program’s fourth consecutive 30-win season. After defeating Dallas Center-Grimes on Monday to clinch a share of the Little Hawkeye Conference championship, the Warriors lost games to Winterset and Ames but bounced back on Thursday with impressive wins over Ballard and Johnston.

Wahlert brings a record of 32-6 into the twin bill. The Golden Eagles last played on Wednesday, splitting a doubleheader with 4A top-ranked Cedar Rapids Xavier.
