The City of Pella celebrated Independence Day on Friday. Activities included City Tours hosted by Pella Historical Museums and the Pella Preservation Trust, swimming at the Pella Aquatic Center, Meet the First Responders, fishing at Caldwell Park, and a wide range of food stands, crafts, and games in Central Park. The Pella Farmers Market also hosted their weekly market in conjunction with the 4th of July celebration. The annual 4th of July parade started near Scholte Church and went along the reverse Tulip Time route. The City Band performed on the Tulip Toren before fireworks launched from Central College. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio participated in area 4th of July celebrations.
