A tradition of playing in an All-Star showcase of graduating high school football players will continue for multiple local athletes this weekend.
Tyson Barnes of Pella, Kolton Borcherding-Johnson of Norwalk, and Adrien Robbins of PCM have all accepted and will play in the 2025 Iowa Shrine Bowl.
This year’s game will feature 92 players and nearly 100 cheerleaders and dance team members. Pleasantville’s Dance Team is set to return for performances during the game.
Additionally, the event serves as a fundraiser for Shriners Children’s Hospitals — in 2024, $125,043 was raised to support the effort.
The 53rd annual Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star Classic will be played at the UNI Dome at this Saturday at 4 p.m.
