The #7 moment for Twin Cedars/Melcher-Dallas is for the Sabers. It is always great to beat your arch-rival one, but the Sabers Boys Basketball Squad turned the trick in back-to-back nights against Melcher-Dallas. The first win was on January 24th in the school’s Coaches vs. Cancer night as Twin Cedars won 55-42. In game one, the Saints held a two point lead but held a 24-22 lead at the halftime break. However a 19-7 3rd quarter put the game away. The next night was the 1st round of the Bluegrass Conference Tournament and the Sabers also won 65-44. In that game the Sabers jumped out to a nine point 1st quarter lead and held the Saints at arm’s length. Twin Cedars shot 48% from the field and splashed nine three point shots. Holden Roberts had a double double of 17 points and 14 rebounds.
