The echoes of autumn are starting to form their sound at Pella High School. The Marching Dutch have opened this week with band camp, and are preparing for another competition season this fall. Pella is coming off of a year when they defeated all Iowa bands in head-to-head competitions and an appearance in the Bands of America Regional Competition. Drum Majors Josie Boll, Ben O’Halloran, Sibley Rhoten, and Leah Boulavong are all excited to lead the ensemble that has grown to over 230 members in 2025. The Pella Marching Dutch are bringing back a mattress fundraiser at Pella High School on Saturday, August 23rd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the east commons.
